Wishing you a safe and happy 4th of July from Black Draft Distillery!

Things here at the farm have been quite busy these past few weeks. After weeks of nonstop stillin’, we have our moonshine finally hitting the shelves in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. And now, we are enjoying a much needed camping vacation.

Our holiday begins with a sunrise reading of the Declaration of Independence to remind us why we can celebrate this time with our friends and family. It never ceases to amaze me how timeless the words are and how they have stood the the test of time.

Our thoughts to those who are serving away from us and our prayers for their safe return home soon.

Happy Father’s Day

Here at Black Draft Distillery we are so thankful for our fathers (both Irians!).  Without their wisdom we could never have gotten this far, professionally and personally.

Wishing Everyone Happy Father’s Day!

Memorial Day Weekend

strawberry_lemonadeIn addition to honoring our servicemen and servicewomen, Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of the summer season.   Families across the country gather together in backyards or vacation spots, and get to share stories, cook great barbecues, and (our favorite) break out the cold drinks.

For that last one, be sure to check out our Strawberry Field Lemonade by jumping over to our Recipes area.

And if you’re looking for something the whole family can do outdoors, check out this DIY Giant Jenga Game to get the kids and adults together.

We at Black Draft Distillery continue to relish each and every moment that we can share with friends and family.

At the end of the day though, be sure to take some time to thank our veterans and service members who dedicated their lives to this country. It’s important not only for our generation, but for the next as well.
